Why BLOG?

In anticipation of its move and in recognition of its long history, Town Lake Animal Center officials are asking for the community’s stories about interactions with the shelter and the animals it has helped.

“The Last 100 Days of Town Lake Animal Center” blog seeks submissions from adopters, foster providers, volunteers, rescuers and staff to commemorate the almost 60 years that the shelter has operated.

On Nov. 12, the Animal Center is moving to the Betty Dunkerley Health and Human Services Campus, approximately five miles east of the current facility, at 7201 Levander Loop.
